Update from Doctors Visit

Today was the big day to go see Dr. Myers. My mom, Robbie's mom, and Robbie all went with me. Dr. Myers was pleased with how well Ella and I are doing. My blood pressure, weight, and Ella's heart rate are all perfect. He checked my cervix to see if we were dilated. Nothing has changed since last week. He said that everything still looks great , but without being dilated there is not much that he can do. Ella is measuring 41 weeks, and they are still saying that I am 39 weeks and 3 days. ( they never change your original due date since they figure it off your last menstrual cycle.) So he said there is nothing to worry about right now, since neither one of us are in danger. He seems to think that Ella is going to be anywhere between 9-10 pounds, but said that with my body frame and pelvic cavity that there is still hope of having her natural. That's why he is not in a hurry to make a move just yet, since we are both still able to handle natural birth.

He did state that he would not let us go over 40 weeks, so that was a little comforting. It will happen at least sometime next week either with the help of meds or if she decides to come on her own before then... ( I think she is going to be stubborn like her daddy) Dr.Myers wants us back in the office Monday morning. Since he is going to be out of the office we are going to see Dr. Cleary. We have seen him before, so I feel just as safe with him as I do Dr. Myers. He wants us to come back on Monday so that they can call and get everything ready for us to be admitted to the hospital.

So as it stands now, if Ella does not decide to come on her own before Monday we will be having our little one sometime next week. Robbie and I will make sure to keep everyone updated on what is going on... ;-)
