Last weekend Robbie and I decided to get Ella a new kitty. She always talked about Gilbert ( Shelby's cat) and how she wanted to see him. Of course that's not possible every time she wants to. So we contacted P.A.W.S of Greenfield to see what they had available. To our advantage they had a adoption day at Tractor Supply ;-) So Robbie, Ella and I went to meet Simba. I wasn't sure how Ella was going to handle seeing her when we got close to the cage. I told Robbie when we left the house, we weren't going to bring a cat home if she was scared. I just didn't think it was right for Ella to be forced to like something when she really didn't have to.To our surprise Ella jumped down and put her little fingers in the cage and said " Hi kitty kitty.. .meowwwwwwwwwwww". Of course we knew right then Simba would be coming home with us.
Simba had only been at the shelter for about a week. She was brought to the shelter by her family, because her other cat friends were beating up on her. Poor kitty. Simba has been fixed, declawed, teeth cleaned and is up to date on her shots. So far Simba and Ella are doing great. Simba sleeps most of the day away, but comes out at night to play with us. She has even been sleeping in bed with us. Which by the way daddy adores. I seriously think the cat knows that Robbie isn't a huge fan. She will jump up in the bed want to be petted and then lays between Robbie's legs.. I love it.
So needless to say. We now have a dog and a cat. They both are very low maintance so things are working out perfect.... Thanks Daddy for taking us to look at the kitties..
