Last weekend Robbie, Ella and I were able to take a little vacation to Gatlinburg for 6 days. We had a great time, and got to spend every minute together. Which is very unusual in our house. We were able to break up the trip a little bit for Ella. We drove 3 hours the first night, and then decided it was time to stop so Ella could rest. Ella was such a little trooper on the way there and home. She just sat in her little sit, and looked out the windows or watched her movies. She picked up on so many new words, and was actually talking in sentences. If she would see a airplane she would wave and say" Hi people" it was super cute. She then would expect everyone in the car to do the same thing. LOL
Overall our trip was a nice relaxing time. I seriously think we did some sort of shopping everyday. We even decided to take a trip to Cherokee. I will have to admit I was alittle nervous at first, but Robbie drove safe and got us there and back. At one point the snow was above the car, and it was about 20 degrees colder. Luckily Ella was sleeping which allowed Robbie and I to get out of the car for a few quick pictures. I didn't most of the video taping, and he took pictures. I'm not sure how to link the video, but it's pretty neat. I started taping when we started up the mountain, and pretty much taped the whole time. With a few pauses here and there of course. While in Cherokee we took Ella to see the tigers, and bears. She was afraid of them all of course. However, she was a little trooper and hung in there with us. They even had a little petting zoo for the kids. She was into the goats, and donkey. She kept calling everything Riley. Ella loves her dog, and seems to think that every animal should be named Riley. The child was trying to get the goats to come and sit with her. She would call for them, and then pat the ground. She loves her animals. We even go to see a few Indians while we were there. Very neat and interesting people.
Robbie and I have already started talking about our next trip. We are planning on taking Ella to Disney World, and then maybe even taking a short weekend get way to the Cincinnati Zoo. It's super nice there, and we think she is old enough now to really enjoy it.
Ella has been cutting more teeth, and has a little cold to go with it. She has been a little trooper and needs lots of extra mommy time. Which I'm all for. Last night I think she was up every 30-40 minutes. Just part of being a mommy. She wanted me to hold and sing to her. I love it. I just hope in years to come she still wants me to do the same thing. She is our little princess. I will post a Ella update tonight, with tons of pictures..
