Today was Ella's one year check up. Dr.Patel was happy with the way that Ella is growing and developing. Ella weighted 21 pounds and was 31 inches long. She is in the 90% range for her weight, and the 100% range for her height. Amazing how much the little stinker has grown in the past few months.
Dr. Patel wanted us to offer Ella something other then her bottles. So tonight was the night. My mom found this really neat cup that has three different kinds of nipples that somehow reminds Ella of a bottle..( she will be on each nipple for 2 weeks) So far so good. Her new " bottle" is made by Nuby...We are supposed to only give her a bottle at nap/bed time. Could be interesting. If she needs something for comfort, were supposed to offer her Gigi or her silky. Poor Reva will be the first one to try this out tomorrow.. I have a good feeling that Ella will take it like a champ.. I will have to be sure to keep everyone posted on that one.
Overall, Ella is doing great with her eating and drinking. Dr. Patel seemed to think that Ella would be taking off within the next couple weeks.. tonight at my mom and dads, she took a couple step on her own. She's just really not into walking right now.. Watch out when the time comes.. Just wanted to post something short. Ella and I are just getting home from my mom and dads and it's time for mommy to get some sleep.. Ella was out before we left the driveway... Awwww
