Where has the time gone? It's hard to believe that Ella has been in our lives now for 6 months. We often sit back and think, how life was before her. Of course we come up with nothing. Were we out running around, or spending time together with each other and family like we always have? It's crazy how everything erases from your mind for such a wonderful gift from above...
So many things have happened since I have posted last. Our friends Danny, Nicole and their two girls flew in on Thursday ( don't remember the date) from Norway. We surprised them by being at the airport. They were surprised!!!!! ;-) We didn't think we were going to be able to go.. However, Robbie's game got rained out.. If you can believe that. Everything worked out perfect...
Nicole coming off the plane... Robbie had the camera and didn't get the girls... ;-( Or change the date on the camera...
Welcome Home Danny...
Moving On...Friday night before Easter, daddy took his two most important/favorite girls out on a date. Then off to see what the Easter Bunny could find. We were not sure what to get Ella of course. We just decided to get her a couple outfits, some bath toys, and a new baby doll. She loved everything...Since she is now sitting up in the bath tub. The bath toys were a big hit.. We had a great time... If I might say Ella and I have the best daddy/husband in the world.
Easter was a blast. Ella, Daddy and I slept together...Not sure how that's different then any other night, but hey... Ella was quick to fall asleep!! She couldn't wait to see what the Bunny brought ;-) Robbie and I had a blast picking everything out for her. It was so much fun to think that one day she will really believe there is a Easter Bunny. The best feeling in the world I'm sure will come from seeing her/ hearing her be surprised by what she has gotten and being able to pick out what she wants. Love it.. Being a mommy is so much fun...
Just some of the toys Ella got for Easter..
Since this was Ella's first Easter, she had two outfits to wear. I wasn't sure what I wanted her to wear. She looked super cute in both. We wore one to Mamo and Papas house, and then one to Mama and Papas house. Ella got more toys then she will ever be able to play with. You would have thought it was Christmas time. Her mama and papa's really know how to win her heart ;-)
Little Miss Ella was tired after her fun day with Daddy ...
To keep everyone up to date, here is a recap of things that Miss Ella is now doing...
*She reaches for toys with both hands
*Sits up on her own
*Stands with help from mommy and daddy
*Takes a bath like a big girl now
*She now knows when we leave the room
*She is her mommy's girl
*Watches Riley walk around the house ( tries to reach for him)
*Yells and laughs all the time, she loves to hear herself.. ( Takes after her Daddy)
*Is starting to reach for us
*Takes a pacifier all the time
*Eats 6 oz of Cereal in the morning
*Eats anywhere between 4-5 bottles a day
*Is now eating a whole jar of fruit/ veg every night
*Eats 6 oz of cereal before bed with a 6 oz bottle
*Still sleeps anywhere from 9-10 hours a night
*Most important Ella is getting two teeth on the bottom. She has been her mommy's girl the past couple weeks. Both of her teeth are there and ready. Their just not sure when they want to come out..
As you can tell, Ella is doing great. Robbie and I were both able to take her to see Dr. Patel. It was time for Ella's 6 month appt, and it was time to change doctors. Robbie and I were taking her to Hancock Peds, but we were not impressed to say the least. We decided it was time to take her to see someone else. We decided that Dr.Patel would best fit our needs. My sisters and I went to her when we were younger. So I felt good about going with her. Dr. Patel was so much nicer and played with Ella as if she were her own.. It was such a great feeling! It was nice to be able to feel like she really cared. Dr. Patel was pleased with the way Ella was eating, playing and her overall development. Ella now weighs 17lbs 4 oz and is 27in long. Dr.Patel seems to think that Ella will be a tall girl.. We will see.. My mama keeps saying she is going to be a singer, and one heck of a softball player.. We will see.. Daddy will not know what to do with himself... Well Ella is needing her mommy.. It's time for a bath and bedtime....
