Doctors Appointment

Today, I got to meet Dr. Gaudreau for the first time. She is super nice and really easy to talk to. It was my first time to ever see a female OB-GYN, so I was a little nervous. Northside OB-GYN likes for you to see everyone in the office, just in case someone is out when it comes time to deliever. Which I think is a great idea,because you become comfortable with everyone in the office.
Dr. Gaudreau thought that Ella and I looked great. However, she was a little concerned with the way that I was measuring. She said that there is a good chance that we are going to have our little one before we thought. So she would like for us to have a ultrasound next week. I can't wait !!!! They will do it in 3-D and 4-D, so it will be neat to be able and see what she looks like. She said that depending on how big she was they would make a decision then. She told me that we could have a 9-10 pound baby, or just have lots of fluid. We will soon find out. Dr. Gaudreau said there is nothing to be concerned about. They just would like to know how far along we really are, and if she is that big we will be making arrangements for a c-section.
Time will only tell how far along we really are at this point. She did say that my cervix was shorter and that it was softer. Could be days before she is here, or could be weeks. We go back to the doctor on Monday, so I will be sure to let everyone know what is going on. Also, I will be sure to post pictures of little Ella once we have our ultrasound.
